Smart people solving challenging problems together

This is the transfer car that launched a group of companies. In 1999, systems design engineer Steve Matusch quit his job to start his own company, with this simple transfer car for Inco’s Copper Cliff Copper Refinery as his first project.

Within five years, he’d assembled a wonderful team of smart, creative, hard-working people who were designing and assembling the first robotic copper stripping system in a newly-built assembly shop.

Since then, we’ve continued to expand and grow, and we’re always looking forward to the next challenge.

Community Involvement

The City of Greater Sudbury has over 330 lakes and a population of over 160,000 people, yet we’re still a small and tight-knit community. What impacts one impacts us all.

The success we continue to enjoy as a company wouldn’t be possible anywhere else. Our unique history, geology, culture, and both public and private infrastructure have combined to create never-before-seen opportunities for scientists and engineers to make new discoveries and push the limits of what’s possible.

That’s why we’ve always believed in giving back to this community: Because we’ve received so much. With boundless gratitude, we’re proud to support the following local causes.

SudburyRocks
Marathon for the Northern Cancer Foundation

Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School FIRST Robotics Team 4069

Steve Matusch Memorial Scholarships

Ionic Mountain

Sudbury Food
Bank

It’s unfathomable that in a country like Canada, in the 21st century, large numbers of people in every community must rely on food banks to feed themselves and their families.

We actively encourage year-round donations from our entire team, and have thus far raised and donated $100K in direct financial contributions to the Sudbury Food Bank.

But it doesn’t stop there. In addition to our financial donations, we’ve installed a number of raised garden plots for employees to stretch their green thumbs, and much of the harvest is donated to the food bank.
